"Open your imagination, suspend past disappointments and take a provocative journey into creative capacities you never knew you had. We have been using a small portion of our magnificent gifts and forget all too often, that we were born to accomplish miracles." Jean Houston, Ph.D.
"Inner peace begins the moment to choose to not allow another person or events to control your emotions." Pema Chodron
"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." Carl Jung
What can you expect from counseling?
Therapy is a journey toward wholeness — a process of uncovering and embracing your true, authentic self. At My Career Counseling, I work with individuals who are ready to move beyond surface-level change and into deeper self-understanding, self-acceptance, and personal growth.
I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach that combines Jungian-informed therapy, hypnosis, dream exploration, mindfulness, and EMDR. This blend helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and create lasting emotional and behavioral change.
My work is Jungian-informed, meaning we pay attention to symbols, archetypes, and the unconscious patterns that shape your life. We look at reoccurring themes in relationships, conflicts, and inner voices, and explore how these might be connected to earlier experiences and the deeper layers of your psyche. This often leads to a clearer sense of meaning and a more compassionate view of yourself.
From this work, you can expect a better understanding of yourself, healthier boundaries, more emotional balance, and a stronger sense of inner safety. You may find that symptoms like anxiety, shame, and self-criticism soften, and that you are more able to make choices aligned with who you truly are.
